Simple Ways to Save Money During The Recession Times
As we all know the world’s superpower and mighty country recently declared that it’s been hit by one of the most dreaded economic disease – the recession. Almost every third world country is also affected by America’s economic recession. And without a doubt times are going really hard. Many people have lost their jobs and although you may not be a part of those unlucky fellows, you still feel the crunch when prices are going sky high.
As for me it’s always been a crisis since I came back to this country two years ago. It’s very hard to find jobs that believes in your skills especially if you don’t have a good fattened resume to show-off. Without so much choice, I’ve been involved with local networking companies but unfortunately I didn’t make it to the 5% successful elites. That failure made me think of MLM is nothing but a waste of time business model.
You are probably thinking of ways to either make additional income or ways to save money. But right now, additional jobs are harder to find. Aside from the fact that there are fewer jobs, there is also plenty of competition. What make things harder is that most employers will prioritize those who do not have day jobs.
Maybe you’re thinking of making extra money online. It makes me happy just by knowing that in this country there more and more stay home moms and even dads that are starting to learn how to make money through internet. It makes me proud that they’re one of that packs of bloggers who writes well. Many even write better English than their English-speaking natives counterparts.
Money can always be made. When I was still mingling with networkers, I always hear the phrase “you need money to make more money”. While this is true you can also make money by saving money. There’s a wealthy businessman in our place who actually rose from rags to riches by saving more money than he spends.
Saving money is actually not as difficult as people may think. Like everything else, it’s all about discipline. If you are committed to the task and you can do anything you want, even manage to squeeze in all your expenses into one measly budget and have enough left to put in the bank. Here are some of the simple ways on how to save money that you might not thought of.
Mind The Plug
We may not be aware but one of the biggest wastage that people do is their electricity. You may not realize it but you are probably paying far more for your electricity than what you are supposed to be.
It’s not because of the cost of electricity but because you carelessly waste those watts when you forget to unplug the appliance or you have left the lights on even when nobody is there already.
One way to save on energy is by changing the schedule of your laundry and your ironing. Doing this can help you make a lot of changes in your bills and therefore save tons of money. All you need to do is to always remember. Besides, you will not only save money but you will also be able to help lessen the problems on energy.
Skip the coffee or at least lessen your addiction
If you’re one of those fellows who are coffee addict and you just can’t go through the day without the cappuccino, then you should learn to curb the habit. If you can’t, at least resolve to have that cup of coffee inside the house and not buy it from Starbucks or other classy coffee shops.
Coffee there is just so expensive and it is an absolute crime to spend money on just a single cup of coffee, something that you will be able to do at home. Try to lessen your trips to the coffee shops and you will find that you have a room in your monthly budget.
If possible take a walk or the sub
If you are so used to taking the taxi to work even if it’s just a 15 minute walk, now is the time to start walking. You might as well ride the sub if you’re working place is really far. It’s not that so hard actually. You just need to wake a little bit early so that you will have enough time to walk.
Commuting also offers a lot of advantages. Of course, it will definitely take more effort but if you are one of those fellows who want to lose some weight, you can already lose a lot of pounds when you do it. You can even stop going to your gym class because you are already getting the exercise that you need from it.
Kidding aside, the grandest benefits of walking or commuting works very well if you are the fashionista type, you have all the chance to display your fashion sense. If you’re still looking for the Mr. or Ms. Right then you might meet him/her along the way.
The list on how to save more money can actually go on and on. If you like to add more to this discussion, then you’re welcome to share your thought through the comment form below.
