Network Timeouts And Page Load Error Problems

Lately, I’m experiencing lots of page load error and network timeouts every time I access my site. The usual message on the screen looks like this:

The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply.

* Could the server be experiencing high demand or a temporary outage? Try again later.

* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer’s network connection.

* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

* Still having trouble? Consult your network administrator or Internet provider for assistance.

I supposed the problem is to be blamed either on my browser or with my ISP but after checking against other sites, both suspects are not the culprit.

I found out that the problem is on the server. is hosted at An Hosting and is using their server “ans23”. I have two other domains pointed to An hosting and needless to say that the other two sites are always affected everytime the server fails.

And the big surprise is that two of my latest posts are missing when the site finally came back! Yay, I don’t know what happened. It’s some sort of magic maybe. Lol… It might be lost during the restoration process.

Sure, An Hosting is real fast in terms of page loads but the frequent downtime is downright appalling. We all know that frequent network timeouts can greatly affect any online business. It can badly hurt your traffic. It can also disturb the search engine robots and may result in some kind of penalizing your site.

If this problem persists over the coming weeks I’ll surely be looking for much more reliable web hosting companies. Do you have any suggestions?

UPDATE: According to the Midphase’ Status Blog the machine where the server was hosted suffered an irreversible hardware failure and that they migrated all accounts to a brand new machine. I hope things will be okay from now on because I really like An Hosting’s fast and snappy page loads.
