Want to improve the volume and quality of traffic to your web site through SEO? Well, aside from optimizing your keywords and chasing for backlinks you can boost your site’s “dicoverability” by just doing a little tweak on your site’s content. Simply optimize your images.
Image optimization can be one of the most neglected part of the search engine optimization practice by many webmasters. This is specifically useful if you’re maintaining a site that contains lots of graphics, images and/or pictures. You can also make your photos easily discoverable on the web by properly using the ALT attributes and giving accurate information.
Watch this video as Matt Cutts, head of Google’s Webspam team, discusses the importance of optimizing the images you include on your site. See how you can use the “ALT tags” properly and smartly so Google will know what’s going on with your site. You can see here the “exclusive” appearance of Miss Emmy Cutts. Enjoy.
