The Search for Pinoy Idol, the first franchise of Idol series in the Philippines, has finally concluded just an hour ago at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City with Gretchen Espina declared as the ultimate winner and the first “Pinoy Idol”.
Espina, a 20-year-old Biliran native, bested with two other hopefuls namely Jayann Bautista, 22 of Pampanga and Ram Chaves, 26 of Cagayan De Oro City during the Final Performance Night Saturday.
Gretchen bagged the P5.7 million worth of prizes, including P1 million in cash, a condominium unit, a GMA-7 talent management contract, a Sony BMG recording contract and a brand new car.

ang sabi ng mga judges kay jayann “Not just a singer but also a performer” ang sabi naman ng mga judges kay Gretchen ” You sang like a champion”.

ang sabi ng mga judges kay jayann “Not just a singer but also a performer” ang sabi naman ng mga judges kay Gretchen ” You sang like a champion”, kung iisipin nating maigi in terms of the judges comments pareho lang deserving manalo kahit sino kina Jayann at Gretchen, pero in terms of money, si Jayann dapat ang nanalo kasi si Gretchen mayaman na.
