Making Extra Money With Get Paid To Programs

Get Paid To or GPT programs is probably one of the most popular money making industry on the internet. In my journey to learning the online money making business I observed that many beginners trying to find easy and quick ways to make money online end up joining GPT sites. I myself had been involved with this industry but for a brief period of three months only.

So what are GPT programs?
If you’ve been looking for a work at home job, I’m almost sure you run across ads that claim that you get paid by reading e-mails, clicking on ads, promoting banner ads, answering surveys, trying free samples, and everything of that kind.

The good news is almost anyone can really make money doing the above mentioned things. The bad news is that this particular industry is a haven for scammers and a good way for viruses to get into your computer.

However, if you are interested to earn extra cash with GPT’s I advice that you should do your research before joining a GPT site. Also take special precautions to protect yourself and your computer. You don’t want to be wasting your time on programs that will not be paying your efforts later. Many get-paid-to sites are known to be good payers today but suddenly stop paying tomorrow.

Making money online with GPT programsI should emphasize here that very few people can really make a full time income from GPT’s. With that said it should be used as a way to earn extra or supplemental income. For many work at home folks, the GPT programs can be a fun and easy way to earn some side money when they need it. Basing on my experience you should never rely on GPT to pay your monthly bills. However, they can be a good solution to earn some cash for a special occasion.

Get-Paid-To programs fall into four basic categories. These include get paid to read e-mail, get paid to click on ads, get paid to fill out surveys and get paid to try products. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages. But before you start any joining get-paid-to programs, you should take necessary steps to protect your personal information. In most cases, you will be required to give your personal information including e-mail address, phone, and even home address. I should say that the less you actually say or reveal about yourself the better.

When joining and registering to different GPT programs, you should never use your personal or business e-mails. You should get a separate e-mail address. You can register for free e-mail accounts with providers such as Yahoo or Gmail. Many GPT programs can result in a lot of spam mail, and uh, hundreds of them, so you’ll want to keep your main e-mail address separate. Imagine the pain of sifting through lots of spams.

If you want, you can also register with NetZero to get a free voicemail inbox and private phone number. This will keep you from getting unwanted telemarketing calls with your home phone.

Paid To Read Emails
PTR or “paid to read” email programs will pay you a few pennies for receiving e-mail and then clicking the links that is included in the message. Most of the times, these e-mails offer special deals on products or entice you to sign up for offers or any other programs. Sometimes, depending on the e-mail program, you will get more money or “points” if you try the offer. You should not be obligated to try the offers.

You can find many popular paid e-mail companies online. Just do some research before signing up for a program to make sure that people are actually getting paid. Don’t commit the common mistake of signing up for too many programs at once. Aside from getting your GPT e-mail address flooded with ads, you’ll easily get overwhelmed, confused, and finally defocused.

Paid To Click on Ads
Paid To Click or PTC is almost similar to PTR. You get paid by clicking on ad links and visiting the advertiser’s website for a certain amount of time. The time frame is normally set up from 10 up to 30 seconds depending on the PTC program. This means that you have to wait for say 30 seconds before moving and clicking onto another link.

As I always say you can’t make real money by just performing the clicking session alone. This is a game of getting the most referrals. The more referrals you have the more likely you can earn some cash. This is why the ones who are really making money with this kind of programs are those smart enough to invest some money to purchase a large base referrals.

I have already written about the advantages and disadvantages of PTC sites as a money making program here.

Get Paid Answering Surveys
Again this is perhaps one of the easiest and enjoyable cash earning programs on the internet – filling out paid surveys. The process usually involves signing up for a survey program and then filling out some personal information. You will then be matched to surveys that are looking for the opinions of people in your income bracket, of your age or one of several different qualification factors.

Depending on the survey company, you will either get paid per survey or earn points that can later be redeemed for cash or goods. Just as with PTC and PTR programs, do your research on survey companies before registering. You can easily find thousands out there but only a handful is worth your time and effort.

New paid survey sites: if you’re really interested into making money online taking paid surveys, then go and check the sites below. This will save you a lot of time search for legitimate survey sites to join.

CashSurveyWizard – a female-orientated paid survey site. Here you can earn up to $75 for a survey, and up to $150 for taking part in a focus group (basically like a chat with friends about a particular brand or product)

123CashSurveys – you can earn up to $75 just for filling out one 15 minute survey! You can fill out as many surveys as you want, meaning that what you earn is up to you – the more time you invest, the more money that you can earn.

Get Paid To Try Products and Services
Keep a record of your money making activitiesLastly, under the GPT category, there are get-paid-to-try products programs. Get-paid-to-try programs can pay significantly more than the other GPT programs we discussed above. The only drawback is you will be required to pay anywhere from $1 to $10 to try the products.

If you choose to get involve with these kinds of programs, you have to be careful to take complete records of what you will be receiving and when you need to cancel service or return the item. In most cases you will be registered for a recurring billing for a monthly service, which can be cancelled within the initial 7 to 14 days. You can call the companies and cancel the service, yet still be paid for signing up for the GPT program.

Conclusion
On my recent posts we’ve been talking about the many ways to make money from home using the internet and in this post we covered about GPT programs. GPT programs can be use to earn extra cash online but you should keep in mind that you cannot rely on it as a main source of regular income. If you have more time to spare it might be a good idea if you use it as an avenue to earn seed money which can be use in starting a more stable online business that can bring you residual income in the future.
