I’m in the process of cleaning and repairing this making money online business blog. I just noticed from Google webmaster central that there are lots of 404 (Not found) report which may contribute some kind of problems especially for SEO matters.
I also found out that there are some external links pointing to this particular url. I tried to salvage the content of this post but unfortunately, since it’s been over a year now, I can’t find the cached page.
Well, this remedy doesn’t work because this “An Overview Of Loftyprofits Work At Home Business” post permalink was in the month and postname structure (http://www.bizphere.com/2008/04/an-overview-of-loftyprofits-work-at-home-business/) while I’m now using the postname url structure only (http://www.bizphere.com/an-overview-of-loftyprofits-work-at-home-business/). Dork…
Lesson: Never ever delete a post especially if you’re expecting to do SEO. You can edit the content but don’t change the url, and don’t delete the whole post. You’ll never know when somebody has linked to you.
